What our clients are saying

I met Rumi in 2015. I was in my mid-sixties and had recently undergone a failed pelvic floor surgery. Women in my demographic do not easily talk about prolapse, Kegels or vaginas … rectal leakage is definitely off-limits. I experienced all of these and when I first met Rumi, I quickly came to the realization that an incredibly special woman was here to help. Rumi clinically is excellent. Rumi the person is what captivated me.

Rumi creates an environment where I can be vulnerable and real about my life and my struggles. She is a wise, extremely intuitive woman and her insight is as natural to her as breathing.  I feel listened to, cared about and treated in a holistic way that deals with my pelvic floor issues and my life issues. Rumi is truly an authentic ‘healer’ and her impact on my life has been very significant.

I highly recommend Rumi Krzywicki for pelvic floor Physiotherapy. I cannot express into words how compassionate and knowledgeable she is. Pelvic floor Physiotherapy sessions with Rumi are so much more than just doing Kegels. She takes a holistic approach and looks at the entire body and mind - giving her so many tools to treat a wide range of concerns. Rumi creates a warm, non-intimidating environment, going above and beyond to help her patients. She truly cares about others and helping them feel better. Within a few sessions, my pelvic floor symptoms greatly improved, I was able to get back to the activities I love and spend time with my kids without nagging symptoms. I am truly grateful to Rumi!

When a friend recommended that I see Rumi Krzywicki, I was at the end of my rope, in so much pain that I had trouble walking across a room. It isn’t an exaggeration to say that her work as a physiotherapist changed my life. She blends training, compassion and experience into a skillful whole that has led to lasting change for me. Her hands-on treatments gave me freedom and mobility that I hadn’t had in a long time. More importantly, her treatments continue to help me even now that I no longer see her weekly because she taught me to calm my central nervous system, to understand and manage my pain, and to move and breathe in ways that consistently bring me relief if and when an echo of the pain returns. I am immensely grateful to her, and recommend her work to you without reservation.

A few years ago, I went through a phase in which I was experiencing, what felt like, a painful recurring urinary tract infection (UTI). After going through treatments of antibiotics and seeing no improvement, my doctor referred me to a pelvic floor physiotherapist. I started attending physio and did not have the best experience with the physiotherapist. She didn’t really explain to me what was happening, nor did she give me any exercises to do on my own. After three months of going regularly to this lady, I gave up on physio. Around the same time, I got referred to an urologist who did a cystoscopy (scope of the bladder and urethra) to check my bladder. After examining my bladder, he said in these words, “you have the most perfect bladder I have seen today, so you should go check out the pelvic floor therapist at Vesia. Her name is Rumi.”

I decided to give Rumi a chance and scheduled an appointment. From the moment she started her assessment, I was so impressed. Rumi took the time to explain to me exactly how the muscles of the pelvic floor are supposed to work, what the components are, and how so many people actually have too tense of a pelvic floor and they actually need to work on relaxing it- this was precisely my issue and the reason behind the “UTI” pain. Fast forward 5 years to now- I have seen Rumi through my two pregnancies and post-partum and she has been wonderful. I have referred her to countless friends and they have all had great experiences. Unlike many other physiotherapists, Rumi takes the time to explain the anatomy of your body. She checks alignment, posture, stress, sleep, and so many other factors that other people would not even consider but that are absolutely relevant to your overall health. I can not recommend her enough.

My doctor strongly recommended I go for pelvic physiotherapy, not for any specific medical reasons, but simply to maximize the long term benefits post partum. I was extremely impressed with Rumi Krzywicki’s friendly demeanour, clinical expertise, thorough approach, and helpful effective treatments.

She actively listened to my concerns, knowledgably answered my questions and incorporated my future goals in her treatment plans. I felt the treatment was customized for me and my lifestyle. Going to Rumi Krzywicki is helping me quickly return to my active healthy lifestyle and I’m sure will have lasting benefits in the future.

I am currently in my second trimester of pregnancy and I started to experience some urinary incontinence and pelvic pain, which really worried me at this early stage. I wanted to make sure my body was strong and healthy so I can (ideally) experience a natural birth with no tearing and minimal pain in the postpartum stage. I was skeptical at first when Rumi mentioned that I could benefit from a Virtual Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment however I was really desperate for help. Rumi was able to assess me remotely through Zoom and has provided me with a personalized treatment plan to improve the movement of my pelvic floor and keep my whole pelvic area in alignment during and after my pregnancy. I’m already seeing relief and great results in just a few virtual sessions. I’m so glad I found Resilience Pelvic Health!

Rumi was amazing in helping me to overcome my chronic urge incontinence, which had bothered me for years and was affecting my quality of life. She also helped me to understand that my incontinence issue was not only physical, but that it also had a behavioral and psychosocial aspect to it. Rumi’s professional knowledge and guidance allowed me to stop having to go to the bathroom 4-6 times (or more!) every single night. Thanks, Rumi!
